Briess caramel malts are produced in a roaster rather than a kiln. This allows for the application of higher temperatures to the green malt, resulting in the development of unique flavors, colors, and aromas. A medium dark crystal malt with a deep reddish hue and pronounced flavors of dark caramel with hints of raisin. A great caramel malt for many styles (especially red ales) - Additional Information
